Tuesday April 8, 2014
(gratuity and tax not included)
For the 2nd year, GingeRootz is proud to have teamed up with the WI Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired to host a Dining in the Dark event on Tuesday April 8th, 2014 at 6:00pm. This eye-opening experience shines light on the organization's mission and goal of promoting the dignity and independence of the people in WI, who are blind and visually impaired, by providing services, advocating legislation and educating the general public. Proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the organization.
While blindfolded, guests will be challenged to navigate through a 5 course meal in the dark, using their sense of taste, touch, smell and sound. Savor a new world of awareness and appreciation as you get a glimpse into the lives of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Many people find that, without the distration of sight, they are able to experience even famiiar foods in the new ways. Nuances of texture and flavor become noticeable in ways that they never were before, and a heightened sense of smell allows diners to experience their food before it even passes their lips.
We hope that you will join us for this event. Come experience food in a new way and benefit a worthy organization all at the same time!
